B General Motors b (GM) and B Stellantis b (STLA) will report U.S. auto sales on Thursday for a first quarter marked by high demand and weak supply as the global chip shortage disrupts production. Due to the global chip shortage, Ford is cutting production at six North American plants, which make pickups, vans, SUVs and crossover, the company said late Wednesday.
