Abstract (English):: This article analyzes the preconditions of consolidation of party systems. In a basic scheme of analysis taken institutional preconditions for the consolidation of party systems offered by Klaus von Boime. There are three main and five additional criteria for party systems consolidation. Special attention is given to factors such as the consolidation of national borders and the existence of social cleavages. The study attempts comparative analysis of prospects for the consolidation of party systems in various forms of government. Finally analyzes the role and place of civil society in the consolidation of party systems. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
