Abstract (English) :
-
Until recently it was believed that angiogenesis, a key factor in solid tumors progression, is insignificant for lymphoproliferative diseases. Nowadays it is obvious that bone marrow vascularization plays a major role in hematopoiesis in normal and pathological conditions. In this regard, the use of antiangiogenic therapy in the treatment of hematological diseases is actively investigated. A separate work area are studies examining the prognostic significance of angiogenic factors (AF) level in patients with leukemia. This review briefly examines the main AF role in leukemia pathogenesis, as well as the possibility of their use as prognostic markers and/or targets for antiangiogenic therapy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
