The influence of the power density of beam and addition of titanium carbide on the structure and phase composition of coatings obtained by non-vacuum electron beam cladding of chromium carbide powder on low-carbon steel has been studied. The interrelation between the structural-phase state of the coatings and their corrosion resistance is established. It is shown that the addition of titanium carbide to the cladding mixture enables the increase of corrosion resistance by 16–22 times as compared to chromium carbide coatings. The corrosion resistance of the coatings with TiC addition is close to respective value of stainless steel. It is found that the thickness of the coatings depends on the amount of the power density.
