Cardiac sarcomas are rare diseases in pediatric patients, with poor prognosis especially in newborns. It is about 20 day newborn with a large tumor formation in the right atrium with unspecific clinic -- respiratory distress syndrome with cyanosis, tachydyspnea and concomitant respiratory infection. At the age of 18 days the diagnosis was verifi ed echocardiography. During cardiac surgery (19 days) the resection of the tumor was difficult due to infi ltration of the tricuspid valve and right ventricle. The histological preparation with data of malignant tumor classified the malignancy as a leiomyosarcoma. The child died the first day after hemodynamic collapse. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
