Dr. Aslam Ansari is a renowned poet of Urdu, Persian, English and Seraiki. He is not only a poet but also a prominent researcher and a critic of Urdu literature. His research work on classical Urdu poets gives him notable position among the specialists of Bedil, Meer, Ghalib and Iqbal studies. This article presents a detailed analysis of his research on Meer. He has pen down different essays about the various prospects of Meer's poetry. The collection of these essays is recently published titled as "Jisay Meer kehtay hain Sahibo". This article is about the detailed introduction and analysis of these writings. We attempt to determined Dr. Aslam Ansari's place in the tradition of recognizing Meer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
