Abstract (English):
The purpose of this study is to investigate the meaning of life and state anxiety as predictors of psychological resilience. Furthermore psychological resilience, meaning of life and state anxiety were also examined according to demographic variables. The sample of the study consists of 598 adult individuals. In the research, Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, State Anxiety Scale, and Meaning in Life Scale were used as data collection tools. The research data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 package program. In the study; independent sample t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis techniques were used. According to the results of the analysis, it was observed that the state anxiety and psychological resilience of the participants differed significantly according to the variables of gender and following the developments regarding Covid-19; it was observed that the present and searched meaning did not differ significantly according to variables of gender and following the developments regarding Covid-19. While it is seen that state anxiety, present meaning and psychological resilience differ significantly according to the variables of healthy eating, sports, time for hobbies and frequency of use of technology; it was observed that the searched meaning did not differ significantly. State anxiety, present and searched meaning, psychological resilience show a significant difference according to age, sleep time and work status variables. According to another result of the analysis, a negative relationship was found between psychological resilience and state anxiety; a positive relationship was found between psychological resilience and present meaning. A negative relationship was found between state anxiety and present meaning. No significant relationship was observed between psychological resilience, state anxiety, present meaning variables and searched meaning. State anxiety and present meaning variables appear to have a significant relationship with psychological resilience. These two variables explain 34% of the change in psychological resilience scores.
