A detailed study of the temperature-dependent evolution of the hyperfine interaction parameters and spatial spin-modulated structure in multiferroic BiFeO3 has been carried out by 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy in a wide temperature range, including the temperature of the magnetic phase transition. Temperature dependences of the hyperfine magnetic field distributions, isotropic and anisotropic contributions to hyperfine magnetic fields, quadrupole shift and the anharmonicity parameter were measured. A change in the sign of the effective magnetic anisotropy constant was detected at a temperature T ≈ 330 K. At this temperature, the magnetic anisotropy changes from the "easy axis" to the "easy plane" type. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
