Abstract (English):
Muhammad Iqbal, the great poet, philosopher, politician and thinker of the Indıan subcontinent, ranks first among the creators of Pakistan's theoretical ideology. Muhammad Iqbal, who thinks that Islam should be a life system, thinks that Muslims and Hindus can never be a united nation. The historical speech made by Muhammad Iqbal in the city of Allahabad in India in 12th December 1930 deeply affected the social and political structure of the period and accelerated the Pakistan movement. Political exchange between Muhammad Iqbal and Muhammad Ali Jinnah increased after this speech and Muhammad Ali Jinnah started to benefit from the political determinations and suggestions of Muhammad Iqbal including independence. His letters to Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the national leader of Pakistan, Iqbal emphasized the need to establish a free Muslim country for Muslims of India and advised Jinnah how to build this Islamic state. Iqbal's recommadations for national struggle awakened Muslims of India and contributed to the establishment of Pakistan. Muhammad Iqbal's letters to Muhammad Ali Jinnah were first published by Sheikh Muhammad Ashraf in April 1943. In this study, 16 letters written by Muhammad Iqbal to Muhammad Ali Jinnah between 23rd May 1936 and 10h November 1937 were analyzed and inferences were made about what kind of contributions Muhammad Iqbal made to the establishment of Pakistan.
