The article discusses issues concerning pupil participation in administering the junior high school in the U.S. One of the fundamental ideals of a junior high school is the recognition of maturing social and intellectual capacities and interest in the student. The author believes that in Providing students the opportunity for greater self-direction, it is a decided advantage to have the pupils participate in administering a wide range of problems relating to pupil conduct and general education interests.
