The article discusses the diagnostic imaging results from a 25 year-old AIDS patient who introduced altered sensorium after experiencing complex partial seizure. Images reveal that the patient's brain has multiple ring enhancing lesions. The diagnosis of the lesions were likewise aided by the concurrent chest involvement in disseminated tuberculosis. However, the detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in HIV patients is difficult because of the paucibacillary nature of pulmonary diseases.
