Community-Associated Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus as a Cause of Health Care--Associated Infection.

The author reflects on the implication of community-associated methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (CA MRSA) as the cause of health-care associated infection. He revealed that the disease was introduced into hospitals by inpatients who needed management of their infections, especially in nurseries, maternity wards and with the health care staff. He advised the staff to use gloves and gowns as part of their precautionary measures to reduce the transmission of MRSA infection.
