Abstract (English):: The operative procedure of Malliniac's operation is described. The nipple is transferred either as a free graft or on a thin dermal pedicle. In a series of 47 patients, mainly with lobular carcinoma in situ or atypical lobular hyperplasia, we had one total loss of the nipple areolar complex. Wide exposure permits easy and radical subcutaneous mastectomy. In all patients with middle to heavy breasts we were able to perform full reconstruction using local dermal-fat flaps. Silicon prostheses could therefore be avoided. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
