The article presents the Ready Reference Guide for pediatricians for asthma management in children, from National Asthma Education and Prevention Program at National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). It also presents tables on NHLBI guidelines on assessment and monitoring of asthma control including classification of asthma severity and treatment initiation by age, asthma control assessment and therapy adjustment by age, and 2007 NHLBI stepwise treatment recommendations by age.
