Abstract (English):
Theoretical research on the goal system for school physical education is very important to the reform and development of school physical education in the new era. But there remain some theory problems to be resolved. Through literature review, and combined with 17 years of teaching and research experience at universities in both southern and northern China, as well as many years of exchanges with relevant experts, peer predecessors and a large number of primary and secondary school PE teachers, this paper studies how the goal system for school physical education evolves in China, and reviews relevant academic history over the past 40 years. The research holds that there are two clues, three features and four basic problems in the evolution of the goal system for school physical education in China. The results show that current theoretical research neglects discussing the relationship between teaching and curriculum. In the face of diversified goal systems, different theories and conflicts between theory and practice, it is necessary to examine them from the dual perspectives of teaching and curriculum. Based on the dual perspectives of teaching and curriculum, this paper analyzes the logical relationship among the respectivegoals of school education, school physical education, physical education curriculum and physical education teach-ing, and discusses the structure of the goal system for school physical education.
