Life policies on the margins: resistance and re-existence in the face of inequalities and racism in Brazilian urban scenes

This article aims to discuss the literary modes of resistance to social inequalities. To do so, the text analyses two tales Espiral and O ônibus branco written by Geovani Martins and Ferrez respectively. These two contemporary authors express in their literary productions, the daily life of inequality and racism faced by young peripheral people from large urban centers. The proposed reading feeds on the theoretical repertoire of Social Sciences, articulating and approximating the two writings while evokes categories of effective analysis for understanding the social phenomenon presented and described poetically. Our understanding is that more than a mere aesthetic trend, peripheral writing is itself an act of resistance, an artistic form that does not hesitate to point its weapons at the persistent inequalities and structural racism that mark contemporary Brazil.
