While there are thousands of different animals in the world, some have been extinct for many years and others are on the verge of extinction. In this videotape, students learn about the natural and man-made factors that lead to the endangerment and extinction of animals. Children find out why it is essential for people to help all forms of endangered animals and why it is every person's responsibility to take care of Earth's many creatures. This videotape correlates to the following National Science Education Standards for Life Science: characteristics of organisms; life cycles of organisms; and organisms and environments. This videotape is accompanied by a teacher's guide and a hands-on student experiment. (CCM)
