The article discusses the emigration of White Russians to Europe due to the 1917-1922 Russian civil war between the Red and Whites. The League of the Nations reportedly creaed Nansen Passports to enable White Russian émigré to make new lives overseas due to threat of death and persecution, however the Russian government also revoked their citizenships. Also explored are Russian émigré communities in European cities including Paris, France and Berlin, Germany.
