The article presents the findings of a survey of school librarians in the U.S. on the importance of having a diverse book collection for kids and teens. Topics covered include rate of librarians who consider having a diverse book collection as very important, rise in rate of school libraries that adopted inclusive collection development goals, impact of a possible book challenge on diverse collection development and ways by which diverse books are being promoted by librarians.
