The article discusses the foreign policy failures of hawkish politicians, and the various wars entered into by the U.S. as of September 2019. Also cited are the modern stab-in-the-back reason for losing a war that was first used by Germany in its defeat in the First World War, the strategic defeat of the U.S. in the Vietnam War, as well as the U.S.' wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria.
