Earthbag construction is a versatile, easy-to-master,low-impact, and highly durable form of building, suitable forstructures from houses to root cellars. Earthbag domes indesert areas usually need no roof otherthan cement-stabilized plaster, but Idon't recommend this for wetter climates, because the entire outer surfaceis essentially roof. After laying every foot of wall(that is, three rows of bags), we add stripanchors to connect die wall to the postsand window and door frames. My wife, Mary Jane, and Ibuilt our first earthbag homein 2009, after being inspiredby the Mother Earth News bookEarthbag Building. [Extracted from the article]
