Necciai and Dunlop both went up to the Class-B Carolina League, where Necciai was 7-9 despite a 1.57 ERA for Burlington-Graham. Necciai, 19, and Dunlop, 18, already close friends, shared a room and would walk about a mile across town to the ballpark for home games.
