In the article, the authors discuss how they adopted the concept of instructional design (ID) and microlearning at the Library of Michigan's development division to train public library employees online during the COVID-19 pandemic. Also cited are their use of the Niche Academy platform to develop and distribute courses for librarians, and their launching of Michigan eLibrary's (MeL) microcredential course and learning pathways for library directors in July 2021.
