The article presents the author's views on new educational technology. Technology is an indispensable engine of progress in fields like education, communication, and medicine. Undeniably it has added to the quality of lives and the pace of scientific achievements. But one should not perpetuate the myth that technology is only a benign force. Philosopher John Dewey recognized the revolutionary nature of science and technology and appreciated that they could create new possibilities in life.
