The article discusses a study on whether patients with anterior circulation ischemic stroke with dual target of vessel occlusion and evidence of salvageable tissue on perfusion imaging within 4.5 hours after onset of stroke will have improved reperfusion and early neurologic improvement if treated with early endovascular thrombectomy using the Solitare Flow Restoration (FR) stent retriever. It notes improved reperfusion in patients with ischemic stroke with proximal cerebral arterial occlusion.
