Time perception refers to the human mind’s ability to subjectively experience the passage of time and the duration of events. On an everyday level, time seems to be absolute. After all, humans measure time in predetermined intervals, such as one minute totaling sixty seconds, one hour totaling sixty minutes, and one day totaling twenty-four hours.
